Our commitment to you
Delia does not sell your data. Not now. Not ever. Not in any form.
This isn't a marketing line. It's an architectural commitment, encoded in how the product is built.
Here's what that means specifically.
We do not sell your data to anyone.
Not advertisers. Not insurance companies. Not pharmaceutical companies. Not data brokers. Not in raw form. Not in "anonymized" or "aggregated" form. No exceptions.
We do not share what you tell her.
Your conversations, memories, emotional signals, and life details are never shared with third parties for their own use. The only ones who see what you share with Delia are you, and the Delia Notebook system running on your behalf.
We do not show ads.
Not inside the app. Not against your data, sold to someone else.
We do not train external AI models on your words.
Our processors — Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for voice — operate under zero-retention terms that prohibit training on Delia Notebook's traffic.
We delete your conversation content after 24 hours.
Automatically, without you having to ask. What Delia remembers after that is only the structured memory entries that reflect what you wanted preserved — the people, dates, and plans, in your own words. You can see, edit, or delete every one of them.
Why don't we monetize your data?
Because the whole product rests on a different promise: that Delia is a private space where you can notice your own life, and that the better she works, the less you need her. A product that sells what you share cannot honestly make that promise. We would rather make less money and keep the promise than more money and break it.
Who touches your data, and why.
- Anthropic (Claude) — generates Delia’s responses, under zero-retention terms — no training on Delia Notebook’s traffic.
- OpenAI (Realtime API) — processes voice conversations, same zero-retention terms.
- Supabase — hosts the database, encrypted at rest.
- Apple / Google — handle payment processing — Delia Notebook never sees your card number.
- RevenueCat — manages subscriptions — receives purchase events and a user ID, no conversation content.
- AudD — identifies songs you mention, from a short audio snippet, with no retention.
- Lulu xPress — prints Year Chapter books, for the specific print job you order, nothing more.
- Apple Journaling Suggestions — stays on your phone — nothing leaves your device to Apple through this integration.
Every relationship here is bound by a contract that prohibits using Delia Notebook's data for anyone else's purposes.
Rights that go beyond what the law requires.
- Raw conversations delete themselves after 24 hours, automatically, with nothing for you to request.
- A Quiet File for anything you want kept but not retrieved in ordinary conversation.
- The right to pause your account indefinitely, without losing anything, whenever you need to stop.
- A full export of everything — the memories, the Reels as real video files, the Letter as a real PDF — not a summary.
- A one-tap cancellation, with no retention pitch and no "are you sure" upsell in the way.
If this ever changes.
Changing this commitment would require telling you 90 days in advance, in public, and giving you a full window to delete everything before the change takes effect. That protection binds any future owner of the company too — an acquirer accepts this commitment, or every user gets that same window first.
If you ever have reason to doubt any of this, write us:privacy@delianotebook.com. And if we ever fail to meet these commitments, the first place you'll hear about it is from us, not from a reporter.
